Project Overview Compass Electrical Solutions was honored to partner with the City of Hazelwood on a critical infrastructure upgrade at their Community Center . This project involved the installation of a 500 kW Blue Star commercial diesel generator , designed to provide full-building backup power and ensure uninterrupted operation during outages. Project Scope & Highlights Installed 500 kW Emergency Generator – Furnished and installed a 24-hour diesel-fueled Blue Star commercial generator capable of backing up the entire facility. Electrical Service Upgrade – Removed outdated 800-amp 3-phase 480V service and consolidated systems into a new 1200-amp 3-phase 480V service for increased capacity and reliability. Circuit Relocation – Transferred branch and equipment circuits from the 800-amp service to the new 1200-amp service to ensure all critical loads are backed up by the commercial generator. Switchgear Rework – Removed and relocated disconnect switches for seamless integration into the new system.

Power System Upgrades – Installed new wiring and distribution to meet current and future load demands. LED Lighting Enhancements – Replaced outdated lighting with energy-efficient LED fixtures for improved performance and lower operating costs. Low Voltage & Fire Alarm System s – Installed cabling and components to support life safety systems, communications, and AV integration.
