Compass Electrical Solutions partnered with Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day

School (MICDS) to enhance the lighting system at their Natatorium. The goal was to improve

visibility, energy efficiency, and long-term sustainability by upgrading the existing fixtures to

high-performance LED lighting.

Project Scope & Highlights

LED Lighting Upgrade – Replaced outdated fixtures with brighter, more energy-efficient LED lighting, improving visibility for swimmers, coaches, and spectators.
Enhanced Energy Efficiency – The new system reduces energy consumption while lowering maintenance costs over time.
Ameren Incentive Program – Assisted MICDS in securing an Ameren incentive, helping offset the cost of the upgrade while maximizing energy savings.

Project Overview Compass Electrical Solutions recently installed two High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) fans in the MICDS High School natatorium, delivering improved air circulation, enhanced comfort, and greater energy efficiency for the school’s aquatic facility. Project Scope & Highlights HVLS Fan Installation – Installed two large-diameter fans designed to move air efficiently across wide, open spaces. Energy Savings – Improved ventilation and cooling while reducing HVAC load and energy consumption. Optimized Indoor Comfort – Enhanced temperature control for athletes, staff, and spectators within the natatorium environment.

White Bluff Apartments: Emergency Panel & Meter Bank Replacement

Project Overview Compass Electrical Solutions partnered with the White Bluff Apartments to address an urgent electrical issue triggered by insurance requirements. The complex’s aging electrical panels were deemed a fire hazard , prompting a full-scale replacement of panels and meter banks across the 39-unit property. Despite the scope and urgency, Compass delivered the entire project in under one week, with careful coordination to minimize disruption to tenants and maintain safety throughout. Project Scope & Highlights Furnished and installed a natural gas-powered Blue Star generator to supply full-building backup power Demolished 40 Unsafe 100-Amp Panels – Disconnected and safely removed all existing panels. Removed 39 Existing Meter Sockets – Properly decommissioned aging equipment. Installed New Meter Banks One (1) 26-gang meter bank with 600-amp main service disconnect One (1) 13-gang meter bank with 400-amp main service disconnect (with a 25-week lead time) Installed New Circuit Breakers – Matched to existing tenant circuit requirements. Reconnected Existing Circuits – Ensured continuity of service. Coordinated Power Cutover – Worked closely with the landlord and tenants to plan power shutoffs and minimize downtime.
