Compass Electrical Solutions proudly partnered with the
City of Hazelwood to install a
150 kW Blue Star natural gas emergency generator at the
Hazelwood Fire Department. This critical upgrade ensures the
entire fire station remains operational during power outages, supporting emergency response efforts when they matter most.
Project Scope & Highlights
- 150 kW Emergency Generator

Furnished and installed a natural gas-powered Blue Star generator to supply full-building backup power.
- 600-Amp Automatic Transfer Switch
– Supplied and installed a new ATS, mounted in the same location as the existing switch for seamless integration.
- Minimal Disruption, Maximum Preparedness
–
All work was completed with minimal impact to firehouse operations, ensuring continuity of service throughout.

This project focused on building a connected, modern workplace with seamless technology integration to support communication, collaboration, and day-to-day operations. Project Scope & Highlights Data Cabling & Termination – Ran and terminated CAT-6 data lines to all cubicles for fast, reliable network access. Audio System Installation – Installed speakers throughout the entire office with a single, centralized audio control solution. Conference Room Tech – Outfitted multiple meeting spaces with video conferencing-capable TVs and microphones . Smart TVs – Installed smart displays in the lobby and private offices for branding, communication, and convenience.
