Project Overview
Compass Electrical Solutions partnered with Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School (MICDS) to support a technology and power upgrade at their squash courts facility. The project involved TV installation, power and data infrastructure, and AV integration to support real-time scoring and enhanced user experience.
Project Scope & Highlights
- Power Installation – Cut power into the wall above the squash courts to support mounted displays.
- TV Installation – Mounted and installed six new TVs, each fitted with protective covers to withstand the court environment.
- AV Cabling & Terminations – Installed HDMI and data cabling, enabling communication between the TVs and iPads used for scoring.
- Labeling & Testing
– Clearly labeled each display (including those in the courts and lobby) and tested all connections to ensure functionality.

With these upgrades, MICDS now offers a seamless, integrated scoring system that enhances both player and spectator experiences. The installation supports durability, ease of use, and real-time data display, all within a highly active athletic environment.

New 240V/200A Panel – Added dedicated power distribution for facility operations. 300 kVA Transformer Installation – Installed a new transformer to support the upgraded electrical system. 800-Amp Disconnect Switch – Added new disconnect equipment to improve safety and serviceability. Weekend Power Cutover – Carefully coordinated a facility shutdown over the weekend to transfer power and commission the new generator with minimal operational disruption. Reliable Power. Bus Duct Modifications – Updated existing bus duct systems to accommodate expanded operational demands. New Disconnect Installations – Added disconnects for improved safety, serviceability, and code compliance.
